Mystery of the Eye
Another item I cannot seem to hold onto! Thank you!!! These WILL go fast!!
These incense cones are so so very sacred to me. In harvesting ingredients, in forming them, to the prayers I speak over them, to using them myself these incense cones are such a big part of my practice.
In many mystery schools across the world there are tests of sight, but without using the two eyes. Rather, novices are taught to see in the dark using intuition; their Qosqo + their inner sight (third eye, Christ Consciousness, etc.) Once students were able to navigate the spiritual and physical realms without the use of their two deceiving eyes (leftΓright, blueΓred, aboveΓbelow, blackΓwhite) they able to move forward with training.
The ability to see with our inverse physical sight is a gift and also a curse when you dig deeper. There is much wisdom to behold when that gift is removed or temporarily blocked. Truth comes to the surface more readily, insights are no longer clogged, senses highten due to our focus being distributed elsewhere that isn't strained vision.
The reason I called this season's collection Mysterium oculi is for that reason. These wares assist in inner sight.
Peppercorn and Juniper are closely related to truth and are used in teas, floor cleaner, and incense to protect the truth and for the truth to come forward. Lemon balm, and many other plants related to the moon, are also said to be helpful in knowing what is and what is not. Some realities are difficult to take in, but having faith in what is and what is not is truly such a comfort.
When to Burn:
β’ before or after difficult conversations
β’ before sleep or meditation
β’ before or after prayer
β’ whenever your intuition tells you to!
